The University of Manchester IEEE Power and Energy Society Student Branch Chapter is pleased to announce that the 14th Manchester Energy and Electrical Power Systems Research Symposium (MEEPS 2026) will be held on 12 and 13 November 2026 in Manchester, UK. This year’s theme, Rewiring Tomorrow: Energy, Intelligence, and Sustainable Impact, will bring together industrial partners, academic experts, researchers, and students to explore the transformative changes shaping the energy sector. As energy systems respond to the demands of decarbonisation, decentralisation, and digitalisation, the symposium will consider the innovative technologies and approaches needed to create a secure, sustainable, and intelligent energy future.
MEEPS 2026 will continue as a two-day event. Day 1 will feature keynote speeches, research presentations, a poster session, and networking opportunities with industry sponsors and fellow researchers. Day 2 will feature an interactive industry-led workshop, presenting attendees with a real-world engineering challenge to solve and present to a panel of industrial and academic experts.
